MUNCIE, IN (WCRD Weather) — As Indiana Winter Weather Preparedness Week continues, we are reminded that the cold temperatures and snow that come with winter bring with them an increased level of danger when hitting the road. There are a number of things, from adding weight to your car to just keeping up on routine maintenance, that can help to reduce these dangers. For Tuesday’s topic, Assistant Chief Forecaster Samantha Garrett, along with Forecasters Kendra Rauner and Chelsea Smith, took the time to explain the dos and don’ts of winter weather travel safety.
Winter Weather Preparedness week will continue all this week with special segments on WCRD News Live @ Five, leading up to a Winter Weather Special airing Friday evening at 5:30 pm following the 5 pm newscast.
