Ball State finishes fall schedule at Cardinal Cup

The fall season came to a bittersweet end for the Cardinal women’s golf team as they finished 14th overall at their final event.

The team travelled to Simpsonville, Ky. to participate in the Cardinal Cup hosted by the University of Louisville.

Morgan Nadaline led the charge for the Cardinals, ending the first round with a score of 70, behind her was Kayla Adamson with 77, and Allison Lindley with 79. Overall, they ended the first round with a 307.

After the first day, which also included the second round, the team sat in 13th place overall. By the end of the third round, they were in second-to-last place with a total of 929.

No Cardinal was able to break the top 30 individually during the tournament. Nadaline tied for 34th with a 229 total, 13 above par. The rest of the team was outside the top-50, Lindley finished tied for 54th (233) while Adamson finished tied for 57th (234).

This was the final competition for the Cardinals this fall and they will begin their spring season February 12th at the Eagle Invitational in Estero, Fla.
