MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- A warming trend will continue on Wednesday, as east central Indiana will be warming up into the lower to mid 70s for many locations. The down side to this warmer weather being that we will have to dodge a few small rain chances to come along with it. A small chance for a rain shower does exist on Wednesday, while we will be under partly cloudy skies. The winds will again be breezy, in the 10 to 20 mph range, still blowing from the southwest keeping our temps rather mild for this time of the year. The rain chances will increase on Thursday, with a 20% chance of seeing a shower or rumble of thunder. Temps will then cool slightly on Friday, but rise back into the 70s by Saturday just in time for Family Weekend at Ball State. The down side to this warm air is that it will bring in a much better chance for rain showers and maybe a thunderstorm. The system that brings the rain will also bring an end to our warm weather, dropping our high temperatures significantly for Sunday, where we only reach 59. Another shot of rain comes on Tuesday, bringing with it a high of only 56. Enjoy the warm weather while you can Ball State!
