Ball State University will be celebrating 25 years of German unity through German campus week from Oct. 19 to Oct. 28. The week is sponsored by the German Information Center of the Embassy of Federal Republic of Germany and will feature many events for students to get involved in to learn more about German civilization.

Ball State's German program was chosen by the German Information Center of the Embassy of Federal Republic of Germany to participate in their campaign to promote German people, culture and language across the U.S. The information center only selects a limited number of schools to participate.

German professor Nicola Schmerbeck said this is the third year the university has received a grant from the German Information Center of the Embassy of Federal Republic of Germany for German campus week.

“During the campus week, we offer students opportunities to learn more about German culture and history," Schmerbeck said. "In addition, they can participate in competitions and win prizes.”

All events will take place in the World Languages and Cultures Center, North Quad Building room 160.
