MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- This past week we have seen above average temperatures with highs making it into the lower 70s. However, that will change as we see an area of low pressure slowly make its way east into the Muncie area Friday night. The high for Friday and Saturday will continue to stay in the lower 70s, but along that is the chance for rain showers throughout most of Saturday and even the possibility of a few thunder storms. Behind the system is cooler temperatures that will enter the region on Sunday with a high of only 61 degrees, but the skies will have cleared for the most part giving you a mostly sunny end to the weekend. Monday we will continue to see clear skies with a high around 62 degrees. The skies on Tuesday will begin to cloud up as another front will make its way into our area from the northern plains. There will be a chance for rain on Tuesday night, but is likely for Wednesday when we could see anywhere from half an inch to 1 inch of rain fall between Tuesday night and the end of the rain on Wednesday and highs will be in the lower 60s. Wednesday evening the rain should move out of the area and we will see partly sunny skies on Thursday with only a high around 55 degrees.
