Details for Pokémon Hoopa distribution announced

The Pokémon Company announced details for the distribution of the Legendary Pokémon, Hoopa.

In the UK region, Hoopa will be available from select GAME retailers between October 23 and November 5. In Germany, Gamestop will be distributing from October 16 to November 7. In the Netherlands, Hoopa will be distributed at the First Look Festival on October 10 and 11. Distrubution dates for France and Spain are still forthcoming, and a US press release, while not saying any concrete dates, confirmed distribution later this year.

The Pokémon, Hoopa, can be acquired in the games Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Alpha Ruby, and Pokémon Omega Sapphire.

When received, Hoopa will be in the form Hoopa Confined. Only in games Pokémon Alpha Sapphire or Pokémon Omega Ruby, Hoopa can transform into Hoopa Unbound. The transformation happens when a player uses the item Prison Bottle. It can be obtained from any Poké Mart when Hoopa is in the party. The effects last for three days in party and then must be applied again.

Only the form Hoopa Unbound can learn and use the move Hyperspace Fury. It is Dark type, has 100 power, cannot miss, goes through the barriers Protect and Detect, lowers Hoopa’s Defense and has 5 uses. Both forms of Hoopa have another exclusive move, Hyperspace Hole, which can also go through Protect and Detect. The Hoopa distributed at the events will know Hyperspace Hole, Astonish, Psychic and Nasty Plot.

Hoopa will be distributed via Serial Codes at the events and through the retailers.
