Horror manga artist Junji Ito attached to Silent Hills

Guillermo del Toro reported via Twitter that another big star, Japanese horror manga artist, Junji Ito, was also attached to Konami’s now canceled Silent Hills. Ito is known for his horror artwork, which is one of the reasons why he was signed to Silent Hills.

Ito was the creator of Uzumaki, which is a tale about a town that is plagued by spirals. Ito also created Gyo, where a walking fish harasses a couple. He even had a hand in creating the Pokémon Gengar and Banette when he worked with The Pokémon Company for its Halloween theme.

Silent Hills was going to be available for PS4 owners in 2014 until the game was canceled in April.

Other big names that were attached to Silent Hills were Hideo Kojima, Guillermo del Toro and Norman Reedus.
