An Executive Session is taking place before the special meeting at 1:00 in Kumler Conference Room, Frank A. Bracken Administration Building. The items up for discussion include the following strategies and statuses in respects to:
- initiation of litigation which is either pending or has been threatened specifically in writing
- individuals over whom the Board has jurisdiction
- purchase of real property by Ball State University
- labor negotiations
The Ball State Board of Trustees is meeting Friday afternoon for a special meeting.
The proposed items up for approval include tuition and student fees effective Fall 2015 and Fall 2016, according to their agenda. Last year the board approved to charge $3,694 for in-state students taking between 12 to 18 credit hours. And in 2013, the trustees approved the lowest tuition and fees increase since 1976.
The meeting will also address the pending approval for proposed salary, general fund budget and student service fee plans.
It is open to the public and will take place in the Founders' Room inside the L.A. Pittenger Student Center at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 5.
