Ball State athletic teams clear national standard in Academic Progress Rate

Highest Ball State scores:

Women's Golf - 1,000

Women's Volleyball - 995

Men's Swimming & Diving - 994

Cross Country - 992

Women's Tennis - 992

Men's Volleyball - 991


All 19 of Ball State's athletic teams scored at least a 954 of higher in the latest Academic Progress Rate scores released by the NCAA. 

The APR tracks the academic process of every athlete on scholarship. It is required to keep a 930 to maintain postseason eligibility.

Ball State finished with an average score of 981, nearly three points higher than the national average. Eleven Cardinal teams scored higher than the average for the specific sport.

Ten Ball State teams improved from last year or remained the same. The numbers include data from the period 2010-11 through 2013-14.

The women's golf team earned a perfect score of 1,000. Five other teams scored higher than 990.
