Muncie is under a tornado watch until 8 p.m. May 11, along with much of eastern Indiana, according to the National Weather Service.
In addition to Delaware County, counties under watch include Bartholomew, Boone, Brown, Carroll, Clinton, Decatur, Grant, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Jackson, Jay, Jennings, Johnson, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Monroe, Morgan, Randolph, Rush, Shelby and Tipton.
The watch was issued at around 1 p.m. Monday, May 11. The National Weather Service advises residents to stay alert for the duration of the tornado watch.
