1.) Julia Goldani Telles

I’ll be honest, I had no idea who Julie Goldani Telles was before tonight. Of course, being the serious journalist I am, I discovered she appears in the original Showtime series, "The Affair." Okay, so I used Google. Still, her plunging neckline, vintage silhouette and just all around classic beauty, catapulted her to the top of my list.

2.) Lorde
|
Lorde’s style has experienced its share of criticism in the past. At last year’s Grammy’s, a good portion of Twitter even accused her of being a witch. While she didn’t forfeit her black for the red carpet, Lorde’s sleek pantsuit and crop-top combo oozed sophisticated style.

3.) Anna Kendrick
|
Anna Kendrick’s pitch, and as it turns out, dress, are both perfect. She honestly looked like a valentine in her pink and red Monique Lhuillier gown. Which leads me to my next point: Kendrick, will you be mine?

4.) Dakota Johnson
|
The metallic trend coated the red carpet, but no one pulled it off better than "50 Shades of Grey" star, Dakota Johnson. The precise detailing and mid-thigh slit on her Chanel dress set her apart from the Diane Krugers and Uzo Adubas of the night.

|
Summertime may be over, but Rey’s judgment must still be clouded by her debilitating sadness. Her 70s “glamazon” hair and makeup couldn’t save her nightgown-esque get-up.

2.) Amal Clooney
|
Unfortunately, Amal Clooney’s gorgeous black dress couldn’t overshadow her cheesy, elbow length gloves. The lawyer and wife of George Clooney looked a little too similar to Disney’s rendition of Cinderella. Six-year-old me would have been delighted, but modern Danielle? Not so much.

3.) Keira Knightly
|
The Golden Globe’s female British guests had a rough time on Sunday. Between Ruth Wilson’s (is that inside out?) faux pas and Knightley’s tribute to winged creatures, my devotion to United Kingdom starlets felt a little less than vindicated. Also, was Knightley wearing a butterfly corsage?

Sidenote
The real, must-have accessory of the night turned out to be a political statement. Celebrities including Kathy Bates, Helen Mirren and Diane Kruger all wore or briefly revealed paraphernalia relating to the Charlie Hebdo attacks that occurred in Paris last week.
