Assassin’s Creed: Unity will run at 900p and 30 frames per second on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, according to Videogamer.
Vincent Pontbriand, the senior producer of Assassin’s Creed: Unity, claimed in an interview with Videogamer, “We decided to lock them at the same specs to avoid all the debates and stuff.”
The developers of the game were “quickly bottlenecked” by the CPU power, said Pontbriand.
On the graphic’s power. Prontbriand remarked, “We could be running at [100 frames per second] if it was just graphics, but because of AI, we're still limited to 30 frames per second.”
Ubisoft released Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag on the launch day of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The open-world game ran at 30 fps in 900p. A patch was released for the PlayStation 4 version a few days later, increasing the resolution to 1080p with improved graphics.
Assassin’s Creed: Unity will be released on November 11, 2014 and will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
