Former Ball State outfielder Sean Godfrey has been drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 22nd round of the 2014 MLB First-Year Player Draft.
Godfrey is the second Cardinal to be selected, with starting pitcher T.J. Weir being taken by the San Diego Padres in the 17th round.
A Louisville Slugger All-America Third Team selection, Godfrey was one of only three players since 2011 to finish a season hitting nine home runs, 20 doubles, 50 RBIs and 20 stolen bases.
