With the season winding down, the Ball State cross country team traveled to Ohio this weekend to run in the 2013 Mid-American Conference Championship hosted by Bowling Green State University.
The women’s 6k race was hosted at the campus course in Bowling Green. This was the Cardinals’ second time having to run in a 6k race this season.
Ball State finished 12th out of 12 teams with an average time of 23:53.00, earning them 350 points.
Rounding out the top five were Miami of Ohio (21:33.70), Toledo (21:37.70), Central Michigan (21:43.62), Eastern Michigan (22:05.20) and Ohio (22:02.16).
Junior Courtney Edon led the Cardinals across the finish line with a time of 23:01.93, placing her in the 44th spot. Right behind Edon was freshman Ericka Rinehart who took 81st with a time of 23:57.54
Also crossing the finish line for Ball State were freshman Jordan Timmons in 84th (24:01.11), junior Caitlynn Edon in 85th (24:05.74), sophomore Danielle Dahl in 90th (24:18.68), junior Madelyn Webster in 93rd (24:24.52), and freshman Rebecca Kropf in 102nd (26:03.47).
