The Ball State men’s golf team will look to improve from its 15th place in California last weekend when they travel east to the Jack Nicklaus Invitational.
This two-day tournament will consists of two rounds with 18 holes each day.
The teams that are in this year’s tournament stretch from the west coast of California. There are a total of 12 teams in the invitational.
Last weekend, Ball State started the weekend off strong but struggled as a team in the later rounds. Junior McCormick Clouser led the team shooting by 8-up par 224 and senior Tyler Merkel came in second with 9-up. Ball State as a team shot a total of 10-up par 298 in the California tournament.
The tournament at the Scarlet Course in Columbus will be Ball State’s fourth tournament in four weeks.
