KOKOMO, Ind. — A coroner says a 13-year-old Kokomo boy has died from injuries he suffered when a truck hit a moped he and another boy were riding on.
WRTV-TV reports the Marion County Coroner's office says Christian Reede died Friday from injuries he suffered in Thursday night's collision in Kokomo.
A teenage boy who was a passenger on Reede's moped was taken to the same Indianapolis hospital in serious condition.
Kokomo police are searching for a white, late model Ford truck that fled the scene after Thursday night's collision. That truck could possibly have damage to its right front bumper caused by the collision.
Police are asking anyone who has information on that vehicle or its driver to contact the Kokomo Police Department at 765-459-5101.
