Four Indiana museums will receive grants totaling more than $500,000 for special projects.
The Institute of Museum and Library Services announced the four federally funded projects Thursday.
The Children's Museum of Indianapolis plans to use its grant to follow up on a neighborhood planning process and develop education opportunities including preschool, school field trips, after-school learning opportunities and college scholarships.
The Evansville Museum of Arts and Science plans to use its grant to improve technology to enhance visitors' experiences.
The Indianapolis Museum of Art will develop a rights and reproductions handbook, and the Eiteljorg (EYE'-tuhl-jorj) Museum of American Indians and Western Art in Indianapolis will improve its collections storage vault.
