A fully-completed Dill Street Bar has opened its doors for its official grand opening.
The bar will offer $3 beers and $1.50 drinks all night.
Attendees will also get to hear Dill Street’s new sound system, an amenity that wasn’t present for their soft opening over the weekend.
“If you want to max it out, it’ll rumble your chest, so I’m pretty excited to be honest,” said Jake Larimore, kitchen manager of Dill Street Bar.
The bar will also feature a 20-piece lighting system that wasn’t installed during the soft opening.
“We didn’t have our lights going, so there were general comments of ‘it seemed kind of dull’ compared to the old place, but it wasn’t finished either,” Larimore said.
Dill Street reached capacity at Saturday’s opening for more than three hours, and had a line that reached Calvert Street, making waiting time about 90 minutes, Larimore said.
The bar also installed a gated area to allow people to go outside without leaving the bar.
“People were really irritated when they couldn’t leave because once they left, someone else could come in, so it will help with that,” he said.
Despite the kinks during the soft opening, Larimore said the bar is fully operational.
