Current vice president to be inducted as president Wednesday

UPDATE: According to a press release, Chloe Anagnos, current SGA vice president, will be inducted as president Wednesday during SGA Senate. Alyssa France, current president pro tempore, will become vice president.

On Sept. 18, an election will be hosted to fill the position of president pro tempore.

SGA Senate is open to the public at 3:15 p.m. every Wednesday in L.A. Pittenger Student Center Cardinal Hall B.


EARLIER: The Student Government Association executive board and Senate received and accepted former president Malachi Randolph's official resignation at an emergency SGA Senate meeting at 4 p.m.

"I feel very grateful and confident that the students ... are making excellent decisions because they know their bylaws and constitution," said Jennifer Jones-Hall, assistant vice president of Student Affairs.

Earlier today, Jones-Hall and Stacy Myers, office coordinator for the Office of Student Life, completed the necessary paperwork to transfer the stipends to the new executive board.

Randolph's stipend was officially cut off.

The SGA president receives full tuition and the vice president receives five-sixths tuition, according to SGA bylaws.
