Ivy Tech raises tuition 8 percent, 7 percent for military, state workers

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Ivy Tech Community College says tuition for members of the military and Indiana state workers will increase about 7 percent next year.

Ivy Tech said Friday that tuition for veterans and state workers will go up to $111 per credit hour next year after remaining at $104 per credit hour the last two years. That means a three-hour class will cost an additional $21 next year.

Ivy Tech trustees approved a more than 8 percent tuition increase each of the next two years for most students Thursday. Current tuition of $111 per credit hour will increase by $5 per credit hour each of the next four semesters. That means the cost of a three-hour class will rise by $15 next fall and by $60 in the spring of 2015.
