Former Notre Dame quarterback Gunner Kiel is at Ball State today for a recruiting visit, according to an original report by the News-Sentinel.
Kiel, the No. 1-rated quarterback on the 2012 recruiting class by scout.com, transferred from Notre Dame this offseason after redshirting. Reports had said Kiel has been visiting several schools in the Midwest, including Cincinnati.
The 2011 Mr. Football in Indiana is an alum of Columbus East High School in Columbus, Ind.
Should Ball State be Kiel's destination, he would sit out the 2013 season per NCAA transfer regulations.
