In New York City today police killed Kurt Myers who was suspected for killing four people before he held himself up in an abandoned building for almost 20 hours. The 64 year old supposedly killed four people and hurt two other civilians on Wednesday in a shooting spree. The spree ended when Myers shot at the police officers and then ran into the building. State police sent police personnel and a k-9 into the building. The dog who went before the officers was shot by Myers and was killed, right after swat and state police raided the building after Myers shot the dog. Police still have yet to discover the motive for Myers shootings.
If you’re looking for something to do to get into the spirit of St. Patrick’s day floats, music, and lots of green will be parading down the streets of Muncie Saturday evening for the annual St. Patrick’s day parade downtown. Many participants of the parade include various organizations, as of yesterday head coordinator of Muncie downtown development Cheryl Crowder said they have 25 entries. According to Crowder the biggest addition this year will be the Muncie Southside high school marching band.
Andrew lackey was one of the three people who died in a crash Sunday on CR 6oo west. Before the accident the 12 year old was working on planning a Harlem shake video. In honor of Lackey fellow classmates of Yorktown middle school danced Wednesday morning. Members of the fellowship of Christian athletes gather in the gym of the school typically every Wednesday morning, although local FCA Representative Jeff Mosier changed the focus and talked about heaven and what lackey might be doing us there. Mosier told the students that Andrew would “want us to remember his life, not his death.” When asked what Andrew was doing up in heaven some students said he would most likely “be telling jokes and even maybe dancing”.
Honda is recalling up to 250,000 of their cars worldwide due to brakes that can kick in suddenly even if the driver isn’t braking. Honda motor co. Announced Thursday that is was recalling up to 183,000 vehicles in the U.S. alone. The models that are being called back include the Acura RL, Acura MDX, and the Pilot models. The problem is caused by a fault in the electronics and wiring of the cars located in the vehicle-stability-assist system. No crashes have been yet reported due to the defects.
