After a four game weekend, Ball State finished up the Florida Atlantic tournament this afternoon with an 8-7 loss to Kansas, bringing the team's overall season record to 11-9.

Schifferdecker’s record on the season is now 5-1 while Steinbach’s is 4-6.
The Cardinals kept the Jayhawks from scoring in the top of the first inning and put numbers up for themselves as junior first baseman Taylor Rager and sophomore designated player Hanne Stuedemann each hit home runs to gain a 2-1 lead.
Rager, Stuedemann and senior catcher Sadie Robertson each chipped in a home run raising the team total to 21 after 20 games.
The Cardinals kept the edge over the Jayhawks with home runs early on in the game.
Senior center fielder Amanda Carpenter went 4-4 on the day with two doubles. She is currently second place in Ball State history for career doubles with 42.
Ball State error in the top of the fourth gave Kansas the opportunity to advance 6-5.
The Cardinals will hit the road once again on Mar. 16 as they compete in the Louisville Tournament.
