Ball State men’s golf returns to the course after winning its last event two weeks ago.
The team begins play today at the Memphis Intercollegiate at the Colonial Country Club in Cordova, Tenn.
The tournament will be 36 holes, with the final 18 played on Tuesday.
Ball State enters against a field that consists of seven teams in the top 100 in Texas Tech, Vandebilt, South Alabama, Memphis, Louisville and Southern Mississippi. Ball State is the seventh ranked team in the top 100 in the field.
Currently ranked No. 39, the Cardinals are coming off sweeps in the individual and team competitions at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate. Tyler Merkel won the tournament for Ball State and Tony Lazzara finished tied for fourth.
The shotgun start will begin at 8 a.m. at the Colonial’s South Course. The specific course has hosted several PGA Tour events in Memphis.
