A lawsuit against Burris Laboratory School based on allegations that a second-grade student was sexually abused by classmates has moved to the U.S. District Court, The Star Press reported.
The plaintiffs, listed as John and Jane Doe in the lawsuit, originally filed the suit against on Sept. 28 in Delaware County Circuit Court 1.
Their lawsuit claimed the 8-year-old son of the plaintiffs was forced to perform sexual acts on male classmates while school was in session.
The defendants – which includes teacher Janis Segedy, Ball State University and Ball State’s board of trustees – were granted to the transfer to the U.S. District Court at their request.
