While Ball State coach Billy Taylor has remained upbeat and positive about his team’s recent struggles, the team’s schedule doesn’t get any easier.
Ball State (2-3) plays Butler (4-2) at 2 p.m. Saturday to end arguably its toughest stretch of games this season.
Starting this past Sunday, Ball State played at No. 1 IU, against Cleveland State on Wednesday and at Butler Saturday.
The Cardinals are 0-2 in those games so far, and have lost three consecutive games this season.
The Bulldogs boast wins over North Carolina and Marquette in the Maui Invitational earlier this season before losing in the championship to Illinois.
Butler is led in scoring by Rotnei Clarke with 18.5 points per game and has two others posting double figures.
