University Program Board to sponsor Fall Fest

Festival food, a pie eating contest and a petting zoo will bring a carnival atmosphere to campus.

University Program Board will sponsor the 2012 Fall Fest from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at LaFollette Field.

UPB program director Megan Rogers said Fall Fest will be a good precursor for Life in Color.

Life in Color, which is “the world’s largest paint party,” according to its Facebook event page, will take place at 9 p.m. in Worthen Arena.

“Fall Fest will prepare your strength with fun and food before Life in Color,” Rogers said.

Besides the food and petting zoo, student bands will perform and there will be a photo booth. UPB also will have an area for fall crafts. According to fliers, the rain location will be in the Field Sports Building.

Fall Fest is free for students and $1 for guests. The first 2,000 students at Fall Fest will receive a free travel mug.
