Ball State men's tennis concluded play at the 37th annual Milwaukee Tennis Classic on Sunday.
The men first went against Marquette in singles on Friday. They won four of the seven matches. Seniors Cliff Morrison and Austin Sansone and sophomore Patrick Elliott and junior Austin Smith emerged victorious.
Friday's play came to a close with doubles against DePaul. The men's doubles team swept DePaul, winning all three matches. The pairings of senior Dalton Albertin and sophomore Ray Leonard, senior Alex Brym and Sansone, and Smith and redshirt freshman Ben Bryan all won by a count of eight games to five.
On Saturday, Ball State competed in singles against Wisconsin and doubles against host Marquette. The men won three of six singles matches against Wisconsin with wins going to Smith, Leonard and Morrison. Ball State's doubles pairings won two of three matches against Marquette, with wins by the pairings of Albertin and Leonard and Morrison and Elliot.
Men's doubles opened play on Sunday against Wisconsin. Ball State won one of three matches, by way of Morrison and Elliot. The men's final competition - singles against DePaul - ended with Ball State winning two of six matches. Smith and Sansone each won their individual matches.
After a strong showing throughout the tournament, Albertin and Leonard won the award for men's doubles runner-up.
