Ball State sophomore forward Aaron Adeoye confirmed to a source on Twitter Thursday that he plans to leave the basketball program.
His announcement leaves only four of nine players from classes 2009-11 left at Ball State.
Adeoye was almost assured a starting spot this season after forward Jarrod Jones graduated. He and junior Matt Kamieniecki were the only returning players who played significant minutes at the power forward and center positions.
With Adeoye's departure, the 2012-13 Ball State roster has only four players with a listed height of 6-foot-6 or above returning to the team.
UPDATE: Ball State announced through a news release that Adoye has left the team.
"We are disappointed Aaron has decided to leave," Taylor said in the release. "We appreciate his contributions to our team in the time he was here and wish him the best in the future."
