Ball State picked up another football recruit, according to the Park Ridge Heritage-Advocate.
Pat Maloney verbally committed to Ball State on Friday and will have to wait until February to officially sign.
Maloney is a 6-foot-3, 275 pound left tackle from Maine South High School in Park Ridge, Ill.
He told the Park Ridge Heritage-Advocate that despite having time remaining to continue the recruiting process, he was done.
"If it was up to me, I would play my whole senior season and take all five of my official visits," Maloney said. "But time-wise, it wasn't possible."
Ball State picked up another verbal commitment on Sunday in defensive end Blake Dueitt,
Ball State begins the season against conference foe Eastern Michigan on Aug. 30 at Scheumann Stadium.
