INDIANAPOLIS - Federal prosecutors say dozens of people associated with the Outlaws motorcycle gang have been arrested following raids in Indiana aimed at dismantling their criminal organization.
An indictment unsealed Wednesday named 42 people who are facing a range of charges, including drug trafficking, extortion, money laundering, witness tampering and running an illegal gambling operation.
Prosecutors said all but one of them has been arrested.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Brad Blackington said every member of the Outlaws Indianapolis chapter is currently in custody, along with several gang associates.
U.S. Attorney Joe Hogsett said gang members from chapters in Ohio and Illinois also were arrested.
No contact information was listed on the Outlaws' website. Court documents didn't indicate whether those arrested have retained attorneys. A message left for a jail spokesman wasn't immediately returned.
