WOMEN'S TENNIS: Ball State's season ends with loss to Miami

Cardinals swept 5-0 by No. 1 seed RedHawks

After upsetting Toledo in the first round of the Mid-American Conference, the women's tennis team's season ended to No. 1 seed Miami on Friday, losing 5-0.

The No.1 doubles duo of freshmen Courtney Wild and Ashlyn Rang lost to Miami, 8-3. The No. 3 team of senior Dena Boulieris and junior Lauren Pickrel lost 8-2. The No. 2 doubles match did not finish.

Sophomore Kristel Sanders lost to Riekie Honiball, 6-3, 6-0.

Rang, Pickrel and senior Kylee Johnson all lost 6-2, 6-1.

With their season over, the Cardinals can begin looking to 2013 and beyond. Current seniors Sarah Hebble, Johnson and Boulieris will all be leaving the team.
