Sophomore left fielder Jennifer Gilbert won her second consecutive Mid-American Conference Player of the Week award Tuesday.
Gilbert had one of the best weeks of her career against Purdue and Miami. She finished the week 8-13 with 3 home runs, two doubles and a triple.
Gilbert's 10 RBIs helped Ball State finish with a 3-1 record and was a big reason in Ball State's 9.25 runs per game in the week.
It was Gilbert's fourth career MAC player of the week award. Gilbert has also reached base in a career-high 22 straight games.
Ball State returns to action Wednesday against Indiana at 4 p.m.
