Ball State came out hot with the start of the Stetson Classic to pick up two wins in both its games on Friday.
Ball State easily defeated Northern Colorado 9-1 in the afternoon before defeating Stetson 4-1 later in the evening.
Audrey Workman pitched six innings against Northern Colorado, holding the opponent to four hits and zero earned runs while striking out six batters.
Kim Mazzapica took it from there in the second game to allow six hits and one earned run with three strikeouts.
Center fielder Amanda Carpenter went 3-3 with her second home run of the season against Northern Colorado. First baseman Taylor Rager followed it up by going 2-3 with a double and two RBIs against Stetson.
Ball State will return to the field tomorrow with a rematch against Northern Colorado at 1:30 p.m. followed by a second game against Youngstown State at 4 p.m.
