The Ball State softball team built off two wins to end last weekend with a two dominating wins over North Florida on Thursday.
Centerfielder Amanda Carpenter carried the load on offense through both games, going a combined 5-7 to earn four RBIs and two runs.
Ball State hit well in both games, earning a .439 batting percentage with 19 runs. North Florida fared much more poorly with only a .245 batting average as it faced pitchers Audrey Workman in game one and Kim Mazzapica in game two.
The Cardinals improved their record to 10-6 with the pair of victories.
Ball State will now head into the Stetson Classic to finish out its spring break trip. Its opponents will be Northern Colorado twice (1:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday), Stetson twice (6:30 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Sunday) and Youngstown State (4 p.m. on Saturday).
