The 2012 season doesn't start for another five months, but coach Beth Maddox has added six incoming freshmen to her roster.
Cameron Daniels, Maddi Elliott, Zen+â-¬e Gadson, Bethany Han, Natalie Jardell and Allie White will be joining the team this summer.
Daniels, a noteworthy defender, was a two-year letter winner, recording 11 goals, nine assists and a dozen defensive saves after receiving multiple accolades for her strong play.
"Smart, strong, skilled and poised," Maddox said in a press release, referring to Daniels. "Cameron will be a great addition to our backfield."
Elliot lettered one time as a goalkeeper and was named Apple Invitational All-Tournament Team and First Team All-Catholic honors as a senior.
"She is extremely agile and will bring new energy to the goalkeeping position," Maddox said.
Gadson, also a defender, is a three-year letterwinner and will provide a new spark along with extra depth at the defender position for the Cardinals this fall.
"Zen+â-¬e is fast, strong [and] versatile," Maddox said. "She will bring a tremendous amount of speed to our team."
Han, a midfielder, is a three-year letterwinner, recording 20 goals and 22 assists.
Jardell lettered all four years of her high school career as a midfielder/forward. She served as varsity captain during her sophomore season.
White, a forward, netted 55 goals and 36 assists during her high school career, and figures to make an immediate impact for the Cardinals.
The addition of all six players has Maddox anxious to get the season started.
"We are excited to add this dynamic group of athletes to our Ball State family," Maddox said, according to a press release. "They each bring something unique to our team and we are confident they will mesh well with our current team. These players are extremely dedicated [and] we know they will put in the work to make this team better."
