MUNCIE — A 78-year-old Muncie woman has died a day after firefighters rescued her from her burning kitchen.
The Star Press reports Beverly Flick died Sunday at Wishard Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was found lying unconscious in the kitchen of her home by Muncie firefighters Saturday morning. Flick was carried outside, where she received oxygen treatments. She then was rushed to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital and transferred to the Indianapolis hospital.
Firefighters and family members say Flick suffered smoke inhalation and burns to her face and hands.
