MUNCIE, Ind. — Police in Muncie are seeking a man charged with severely abusing his dog.
The Star Press reported that 24-year-old Anthony Michael Seneff of Muncie was charged Thursday with torturing or mutilating a vertebrate animal, a felony. A judge issued a warrant for Seneff's arrest. A Delaware County Jail officer said Saturday he was not in custody.
A probable cause affidavit alleged that two Ball State University students told campus police that at least twice between Aug. 1 and Nov. 5, Seneff beat his mixed-breed pit bull with his fists for 45 minutes to an hour.
The dog allegedly escaped from the house and was taken to a veterinary clinic where it was diagnosed with permanent nerve damage and a burst ear drum.
