The preseason poll for the Mid-American Conference 2011-2012 women's basketball season was announced Tuesday by head coaches and media members. Ball State was predicted to finish fifth in the West Division ahead of Western Michigan.
The prediction categories were top teams in each division, predicted tournament champion and preseason All-MAC Team selections for the East and West Divisions.
Expected to finish first in the West Division is Toledo, while Bowling Green was picked to win the East. Toledo was picked to win the MAC Tournament in March.
No Ball State players were chosen for the All-MAC Team.
