Ball State libero Catie Fredrich was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Defensive Player of the Week for the third consecutive week, the league office announced Monday.
Fredrich continued to be a steady presence in the backcourt for Ball State in the team's wins over Ohio and Kent State, collecting 32 digs combined in both matches.
Her efforts extended her streak of tallying double-digit digs to 20 straight matches, with a career-high of 31 coming in a loss to Eastern Michigan on Oct. 8.
Fredrich ranks fourth in the MAC with an average of 4.49 digs per set.
Ball State (18-3, 7-1 MAC) returns to its home court this week to take on Miami on Friday and Bowling Green on Saturday. Both matches start at 7 p.m.
