Ball State continued its trend of avoided letdown matches this season on Saturday, sweeping Kent State on the road 3-0 (25-15, 25-8, 25-15).
The win comes one night after Ball State defeated Ohio 3-1. Both victories push the Cardinals' record to 18-3 overall and 7-1 in Mid-American Conference play.
Ball State's offense and defense played were in top form on the night, never hitting below .333 in all three games while limiting Ohio's attack percentage to under .125 in the match.
Sophomore outside hitter Kylee Baker hit a match-high nine kills to go along with nine digs and three service aces. Sophomores Lauren Grant and Whitney Heeres added eight kills of their own.
Sophomore setter Jacqui Seidel guided Ball State's offense to 28 assists in the match.
Ball State will return home next week for two MAC matches against Miami on Friday and Bowling Green on Saturday.
