The Ball State women's tennis team completed another year in the Mid-American Conference Fall Invitational Friday and Saturday, going a combined 14-16 in its weekend matches.
The Cardinals played better in singles matches, going 11-13, than in doubles, ending up 3-5.
Freshman Courtney Wild continued to stand out as one of Ball State's best players in her first year, going 3-0 in singles play, including a comeback 4-6, 6-1, 10-2 win to finish as the champion of the A bracket.
Wild also went 1-1 in doubles with her partner, sophomore Kristel Sanders.
Senior Sarah Hebble went 2-1 in singles over the weekend, while junior Lauren Pickrel fared better in singles play, going 2-0.
The two players went 1-1 in doubles Friday and Saturday.
The Cardinals' next challenge comes this weekend at home with the Ball State Invitational, which starts on Friday.
