WOMEN'S TENNIS: Ball State struggles at Ohio Valley Regionals

Team goes 0-4 in first day of tournament

The Ball State women's tennis team had a rough first day of action at the Ohio Valley Regionals Friday, going 0-4 overall.

In doubles, the combo of senior Dena Boulieris and freshman Ashlyn Rang lost to Xavier, 8-0.

Xavier also beat sophomore Kristel Sanders 7-5, 6-2.

Mid-American Conference rival Miami defeated Rang in singles 6-4, 7-5.

Finally, Tennessee-Chattanooga beat Boulieris, 6-4, 6-0.

The Cardinals will continue the play in Memphis through Tuesday.
