WOMEN'S GOLF: Ball State finishes fall season in Carmel, Ind.

Cards finish 13th as Hague posts top score for team

The fall season for the Ball State women's golf team ended with a disappointing finish at the Hoosier Fall Invitational at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Ind., on Tuesday afternoon.

Out of the 13 teams in the field, Ball State finished 13th with a team score of 986. The field featured four Big Ten schools in Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska and Penn State.

Freshman Jenna Hague led the Cardinals by tying for 53rd place with a 244. Junior Autumn Duke finished two spots behind Hague with a 55th place finish by shooting a 245 and sophomore Meghan Perry tied for 65th with a 251.

Eastern Michigan won the tournament with a score of 912 and Notre Dame finished second with a score of 913.

The Crooked Stick course has hosted several professional events including the 1991 PGA Championship, the 1993 U.S. Women's Open and the 2009 U.S. Senior Open.

Ball State will open the spring season at the Claud Jacobs Challenge in Victoria, Texas on Feb. 19, 2012.
