Balance has been an issue for Ball State all season long.
Winning five of its last six games by a combined score of 34-8, Ball State has found its balance.
The Cardinals will look to continue its momentum this weekend, when they go on the road to play Mid-American Conference foes Eastern and Central Michigan.
Senior right fielder Alyssa Collins said the team is doing well right now going into its weekend match-ups.
"As a team, we are doing well," Collins said. "As long as our hitters keep getting pitches to hit and our pitchers keep throwing their stuff, we will be a successful team."
One player that has been key to Ball State's success in the past six game is freshman designated hitter Jennifer Gilbert. In her last six games, Gilbert has hit .368 with three home runs and 10 RBIs.
"She (Gilbert) has been so successful because she works hard," Collins said. "She comes to early hitting every day and works hard. She expects the best of herself all the time."
As for its weekend match-ups with Eastern and Central Michigan, Gilbert said the team is ready to play.
"We're definitely pumped to play," Gilbert said. "We're just gonna keep playing the way we know how, and we're gonna come out with more wins this weekend."
