MEN'S GOLF: Ball State falls short in dual match against Bowling Green

Joe Gasser picks up lone win for Cardinals

The men's golf team had a tough loss against Bowling Green in a dual match in Orlando, Florida Thursday afternoon. The score ended narrowly at 3-2.

Joe Gasser had the only win for the Cardinals with an 8 and 6 win against the Faclons' Spencer Burke. Games were halved for TJ Carpenter and Tony Lazarra, who battled Parker Hewit and Chris Melvin, respectively. Losses were given to Eric Steger (3 and 2), and Tyler Merkel (5 and 4).

The match play dual followed Ball State finishing second out of 16 teams in a tournament located in Tampa Bay in early February.

The Cardinals will play on the same course Monday and Tuesday at the Rio Pinar Invitational in Orlando.
