Although St. Patrick's Day is over, the party has just started for Kappa Delta's Shamrock ‘n' Bowl.
The bowling tournament takes place on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Munsee Lane, 601 E 26th St.
Not only will teams will be competing to win highest score, they can also win prizes for the most amount of green clothes worn, among other awards. To enter, teams of five can register at the door for 50 dollars. The price includes shoe rental and two games of bowling per team. Spectators can watch for 1 dollar.
Last year, Kappa Delta raised over $7,000, Jill Krieger, Kappa Delta vice president of public relations, said.
"It's rewarding for Kappa Delta to give back to PCA and VSA while also building bonds with friends, family, and the Muncie community," she said.
The Kappa Delta sorority's philanthropies are Prevent Child Abuse America and Very Special Arts of Muncie, and money raised will go towards these organizations. Prevent Child Abuse America works to spread awareness of child abuse. The Very Special Arts of Muncie is an organization that provides art accessibility to people with disabilities.
