Worst of weather appears to have passed

It appears as if Ball State dodged the disastrous conditions that were originally forecast.

Classes before 11 a.m. were canceled, but later classes will remain in session.

The ice storm warning is over, according to the National Weather Service. However, Delaware County continues to be under a winter storm warning until 7 p.m.

No additional accumulations of ice are expected. Up to an inch of snow is still possible, and winds will gust up to 40 mph today.

Many roads could be dangerous due to ice, and combined winds and ice may down trees and power lines, resulting in outages.
