The University Program Board is looking for different types of performers to show off their routines.
UPB is hosting the second semester of Open Mic Night starting at 8 p.m. tonight in Pruis Hall. Performance registration begins at 7:30 p.m.
Amanda Edwards, UPB vice president of marketing, said she is optimistic about this semester's performances.
"We started open mic night in spring of last year and it ended up being a huge success," she said. "We ended up having open mic night with at least 100 people at them so we decided to make it a series so students can come out and perform."
Edwards said the shows brought out 150 people on average last semester and she hopes to raise an average of 200 people come this semester.
said Performances can include, but are not limited to, comedians, poets, rappers, dancers, singers and bands, according to a press release by UPB.
