Northern Illinois rolled to a 59-21 victory at Scheumann Stadium to end Ball State's season Saturday.
The Huskies extended their winning streak to eight games and the Cardinals finished the year 4-8.
After a promising third quarter, Ball State's offense stalled once again. Backup quarterback Kelly Page, playing for an injured Keith Wenning, threw an interception that was returned 16 yards for a touchdown by Tyrone Clark. Northern Illinois added a four-yard touchdown pass to complete the scoring.
